☆ How to Unlock Forsaken Hollows DLC

This is a guide to the Crater in Elden Ring Nightreign. Read on to find out how to unlock the Crater, clear it, and obtain its rewards!
Defeating Gladius, Beast of Night unlocks the first Shifting Earth event which is the Crater.
Shifting Earth events have a chance of triggering after the end of every expedition, whether you defeat a Nightlord or a regular third day boss.
There are four Shifting Earth events in total: The Crater, The Mountaintop, The Rotted Woods, and finally, Noklateo, the Shrouded City.

If you embark on an expedition when the Crater has appeared, the north side of the map will change. You can start the mission on the first day, but since the Crater has two bosses and multiple hordes of enemies, it is recommended to enter the Crater on the second day after strengthening your characters.

Once you defeat the Magma Wyrm final boss, collect its drops and then examine the Special Smithing Table at the altar. You can choose one weapon to upgrade to Legendary tier and remove its Level Requirements, allowing you to wield powerful weapons early before you are supposed to.

Trophy Guide and List of Achievements

Drop to the zone affected by the Crater Shifting Events located above. Since the Crater has multiple bosses and regular enemies, it is recommended to avoid regular enemies and rush straight to the bosses.
We recommend equipping Fire-resisting Relics as well to minimize damage taken.
There is a Site of Grace near the starting point which you can use to restore your health flasks before you continue further.

You will encounter the Fire Prelates during your descent. They are a mandatory boss so defeat them to proceed.
The Fire Prelates are a trio of enemies that are guarding the entrance to the next area. Since there are multiple bosses, you can either focus on one or take one for each player.

Once you encounter these Flaming Hand enemies, you are close to the final area. These enemies are optional and it is best to simply run past them and continue further in order to save resources.

The Magma Wyrm is the final boss of the Crater. There isn't a specific strategy required for this enemy, so treat it like you would any other boss in order to defeat it.
Don't forget to examine the Special Smithing Table at the altar to upgrade one of your weapons to Legendary tier! Leaving the Crater before examining the Special Smithing Table forfeits your ability to use it. You will need to clear the Crater again in order to access it once more.
When you are ready to leave, take control of the Spectral Hawk nearby and it will carry you out of the crater.
If you feel you are pressed for resources, you may also interact with the Spectral Hawk before defeating the Magma Wyrm to escape and avoid death.
