We recommend fighting Smelter Demon at Level 6 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Keep Your Distance to Avoid Fire Damage
Once the Smelter Demon's HP is halved, it will now enter the second phase by imbuing its sword with fire. All of its attacks, both ranged and melee, now deal Fire damage.
It's best to keep your distance to avoid Fire damage, especially during the Vertical Cleave and Fiery Explosion attacks, which release fire around him.
Ranged Users May Find This Boss Easier
Smelter Demon is one of the less challenging Night Bosses you can fight in the game, especially for ranged users. Ironeye and Recluse players can simply stay out of range from the boss's attacks and shoot him from afar. Use Ultimate Arts to stagger the boss and deal critical damage.
If your team includes a melee fighter, have them distract the Smelter Demon since its attacks are slow and straightforward. Your ranged allies can then attack safely from a distance.
