Wall Jumping is mainly used for climbing high platforms that are not normally reachable. This can be a huge advantage for ranged characters so they can easily execute their attacks and spells at a safe distance.
As for melee characters, Plunging Attacks will be your best friend as they deal huge amounts of damage and can stagger enemies. This type of attack can only be executed while falling down and increases in damage the farther you fall.
Certain enemies are also more vulnerable to Plunging Attacks such as the Flaming Chariot, where you can Plunge Attack the top of its head to deal massive damage.
Stones that look like stairs are scattered around the map. These will be your best bet to climb if there are no Spirit Streams around.
Boulders with a ledge can be easily climbable. Do take note of the height and gauge if you can climb over it.
You can climb wooden fences that surround points of interests even without the use of the openings around it.
