The Surge Sprint produces a tailwind effect that allows you to run faster than dashing and your usual movement speed. This is best used for exploring the map and escaping difficult enemies so try to use this as much as possible.
Keep in mind that Surge Sprinting consumes stamina on initial use in combat so make sure you have enough stamina before using it.

Surge Sprinting is an effective way of moving around Limveld quickly. It only consumes stamina upon activation, and won't consume more as you keep sprinting, and as long as you haven't engaged in any fights.
Due to the game's time constraint via the Night Tide, it's important to maximize the time you have in Limveld.
While Surge Sprinting costs stamina while in combat, it is still an effective way to escape or approach bosses. This is especially useful against the Nightlords and their massive arenas.

Regular Sprints are better used in boss fights to conserve stamina for your attacks and for using Surge Sprint to escape certain moves.
