Coded Sword ImageCoded Sword Minimum Level: 7
Attack Scaling: FTH
Damage Type: Holy

For Revenant, we recommend keeping her starting equipment Revenant's Cursed Claws for a good part of the match as they scale well with her Faith and deals both Physical and Magic damage. Later on, however, you can swap it out for other Faith Scaling weapons such as Halo Scythe and Coded Sword.

Halo Scythe gives you a powerful ranged option in its Skill, while Coded Sword deals a lot of Holy damage, perfect for taking down enemies weak to the element.

Best Weapon Passives

Best Passives for Offense
Improved Incantations Increased Maximum FP
Alternative Offense Option
Improved Charged Incantation Improved Sorcery & Incantation Casting Speed
Best Passives for Defense
Less Likely to be Targeted Increased Maximum HP

It is highly recommended to aim for Weapon Passives that improve incantations as this is the Revenant's strongest offensive option. Increasing maxmium FP is also recommended in order to cast more incantations.

For the best passives for defense, it is recommended to increase HP and aim for the Less Likey to be Targeted effect. This will synergize with her summoner playstyle to further avoid an enemy's aggro.

Weapon Passives Will Still Apply Even If Not Using Them

Weapon passives apply as long as the weapon is in your inventory, even if you're not actively using it. Exceptions to this rule are weapons that have a hand icon on their passives. These weapons must be equipped for the passives to take effect.
Be sure to fill your inventory with useful passives, even from random weapons you won't use, if the effect suits the build so you don't waste an inventory slot.

Revenant Best Incantations

Lightning Spear Icon Lightning Spear Summons a lightning spear that can be thrown at an enemy. Charging it causes a lightning bolt to hit the point of impact.
Triple Rings of Light Icon Triple Rings of Light Shoot forward three rings of light, which return to the Revenant after a while. Can be cast repeatedly.
Discus of Light Icon Discus of Light Produces a ring of light and fires it forwards. The ring of light returns to a position close to the caster before disappearing. This incantation can be cast repeatedly.
Heal Icon Heal A miracle that heals the caster and nearby allies.

Lightning Spear is one of Revenant's best damaging Incantations, balancing damage and cost well. Triple Rings of Light, on the other hand, is an Incantation the Revenant uses during her recruitment mission, and is also another strong offensive Incantation.

Discus of Light is another offensive incantation with a fast recast time and has even lower FP consumption than Lightning Spear. Heal is a more supportive Incantation and is perfect for topping up your team's HP, especially if you are out of healing Flasks.

Revenant's best relics are the ones that she can get from completing her Remembrance missions. The Small Makeup Brush that you get from completing Chapter 1 of her Remembrance Quest buffs Revenant whenever she uses her skill to summon a family member. Not only that, but it also increases the amount of runes that you and your allies get.

Old Portrait, on the other hand, turns Revenant's Ultimate Art into a Full Revive, albeit at the cost of her own HP. It also deals damage to nearby enemies, while also letting her charge it up faster when defeating enemies. You receive this by completing Chapter 7 of Revenant's Remembrance Quests.

Since the Revenant doesn't have a way to regain FP, the player can equip the Old Pocketwatch. This can help the Revenant to keep casting incantations knowing there is a way to recover FP.

The Grand Drizzly Scene displayed above is an alternative Relic that can replace the Old Pocketwatch. This can be bought from the Collector Signboard once you defeat an Everdark Sovereign. Take note that you must unlock and equip the Giant's Cradle Grail first in order to equip 3 blue Relics.

Note: Due to relics getting random effects, it's not necessary to look for Luminous or Tranquil relics. It's possible that you'll get these desired effects from Burning or Drizzle relics!

Revenant Remembrance Quest Guide

Alternate Revenant Relic Passives

If you haven't completed Revenant's Remembrances yet, the general recommendation for random Relics will revolve around getting more FP, HP, and Faith, along with incantation boosting Relics. Rune acquisition relics are also recommended to support your team.

Revenant Best Dormant Powers

Incantation Boosting Dormant Powers
Increased Sorcery & Incantation Duration Improved Roar & Breath Attacks
Best Utility Dormant Powers
Reduced FP Consumption Increased Maximum FP
Best Dormant Powers for Defense
Improved Flask HP Restoration Increased Maximum HP

The Revenant's core of upgrades will remain the same by improving HP, FP, and incantation effects. The Dormant Power Improved Roar & Breath Attacks can be a good option as the game offers a lot of Dragon Communion incantations. Furthermore, increased incantation duration will benefit buffing or debuffing incantations.

Best Dormant Powers

Revenant Best Consumables

Item Effect
Starlight Shards Icon Starlight Shards Restore FP
Crimson Bubbletear Icon Crimson Bubbletear Automatically heals one's HP when HP is low
Wending Grace Icon Wending Grace Allows one to rise from defeat a single time
Wraith Calling Bell Icon Wraith Calling Bell Ring bell, using FP to summon prowling wraiths. This can be done multiple times in a row.

The Revenant's incantation heavy playstyle will cause the need for FP. It is recommended for players to buy Starlight Shards in order to ensure that the Revenant can continue casting incantations.

The Crimson Bubbletear can be a good item to buy if the player is using the Old Portrait Relic. This Relic causes the Revenant's Ultimate Art Immortal March to fully heal and revive her allies at the cost of her own HP. This item can counter this effect and will restore the Revenant's HP upon using Immortal March.

It is important to stay alive while using the Revenant to revive fallen teammates. The Wending Grace can be bought to ensure that the Revenant can use Immortal March!

The Wraith Calling Bell is a valuable item due to its infinite use and low FP cost. Cast and summon wraith projectiles to clear out points of interests faster!

Revenant Best Talismans

Talisman Effect
Carian Filigreed Crest Icon Carian Filigreed Crest Reduced Skill FP cost (25%)
Cerulean Amber Medallion Icon Cerulean Amber Medallion Increased maximum FP (12%)
Faithful Faithful's Canvas Talisman Improved Incantations (+11%)
Crimson Amber Medallion Icon Crimson Amber Medallion Increased maximum HP (12%)

The Revenant's starting FP is relatively low for a character that specializes on incantations with a S-scaling on Faith. This can be remedied by obtaining the Carian Filigreed Crest or the Cerulean Amber Medallion.

Alternatively, the player can opt for the Faithful's Canvas Talisman to increase incantation effects. The Cerulean Amber Medallion is also a good choice to increase the character's low HP and improve survivability.

How to Play Revenant

How to Play Revenant

Starlight Shards are a Must

The Revenant's highest stat scaling is Faith. To maximize this, the Revenant will have to constantly cast incantations which costs FP. Always have Starlight Shards to ensure that you can cast spells consistently!

Be Mindful of Positioning

The Revenant's starting weapon, Revenant's Claws, is a melee weapon that has decent range. This allows the Revenant to hit an enemy while being at a relatively safe distance. Master and abuse its range to give yourself a better chance at dodging!

Aim to Last Hit Enemies

To activate the Revenant's passive skill Necromancy, the Revenant must be the one to kill the enemy. Aim to last hit enemies to increase the chance of summoning an enemy as an ally!

Use Summons To Aggro Enemies

Don't be afraid to use your summons when engaging a fight. Although they have different uses, one common ground for their use is to serve as a distraction for the enemies to aggro on.

Recall Summons Before They Die

Unable to Summon Revenant

When a summon dies, you will have to wait for them to heal which acts as a cooldown before being summoned again. Recall your summons early and alternate among summon usage to avoid this cooldown!

Use Your Ultimate Art With Spirit Summons

When you use Immortal March, the invincibility will also affect your summons. Furthermore, each summon will do a special move once you use your Ultimate Art. Make sure to have a summon first before using Immortal March!

Revenant will be sitting at C tier for the game's release state. Her Character Skill Summon Spirit may give limited advantage due to their low HPs and situational usage, and her Character and Passive Ability also lose importance during boss battles.

Although at the bottom of our tier list, Revenant is still a solid support especially when played within a team. Her Ultimate Art can be the team's win condition when against a boss - granted that it is casted at the right time.

Wraith Calling Bell is also one of her best items. Low fp consumption, unlimited uses and holy damage. If you don't have good rng with weapons, you can stick with it for the whole run. You can get a guaranteed bell from relics.
