The Undertaker prefers using Hammers, so try to get Hammers during your run. Marika's Hammer and Envoy's Horn are the best options, as they can take advantage of Undertaker's A-rank Faith.
Alternatively, you can use the Monk's Flamemace, which can come in various elements. You can also use the Undertaker's Hammer, as its Weapon Skill Prayerful Strike can help provide sustainability.
Prioritize obtaining weapons with elements that are effective against the Nightlord you're going up against.

For offensive weapon passives, take Improved Attack Power and Improved Stance-Breaking when wielding two armaments, as Undertaker thrives when dual-wielding.
For defense, look for damage negation and HP restoration through successive attacks, as you will be performing full combos with Undertaker.
Weapon Passives Will Still Apply Even if Not Using Them
Weapon passives apply as long as the weapon is in your inventory, even if you're not actively using it. Exceptions to this rule are weapons that have a hand icon on their passives. These weapons must be equipped for the passives to take effect.
Be sure to fill your inventory with useful passives, even from random weapons you won't use, if the effect suits the build.

The Leather Monocle Case is one of Undertaker's best-in-slot Relics, as it improves your Physical attack whenever you use a buff on yourself. It also extends the spell's duration, while also providing additional Physical Attack Up even when no buffs are active.
Another great Relic for the Undertaker is the Glass Necklace, which provides attack power whenever she uses her Ultimate Art, as well as whenever she performs successive attacks. Additionally, this Relic provides Ultimate Art Auto Charge, which helps her use her Ultimate Art more often.
It is important to note that these two relics are from her Remembrance Quests. If you have not unlocked them yet, try to get generic Relics with similar passive effects.

Undertaker performs best when she attacks constantly to break the enemy's stance. Dormant Powers that increase her stamina capacity and recovery are ideal to allow her to attack constantly. Offensive Dormant Powers that increase physical attack power and stance-breaking are also good.
For survivability, try to get those that increase her Flask HP restoration, and provide HP restoration on successive attacks.
Undertaker Best Consumable Items

These items are valuable consumables as a frontliner, boosting your attack, stamina, and damage negation.
If you don't want to keep them in your inventory, consume them directly from the ground by pressing Triangle / Y + Up, instead of leaving them on the ground!

Viridian Amber Medallion and Green Turtle Talisman are great for maintaining your stamina in combat, as you will be performing full combos with Undertaker.
Godskin Swaddling Cloth and Erdtree's Favor, on the other hand, are great survivability options.
How to Play Undertaker
Equip Hammers to Maximize Damage
Undertaker's preferred weapon is Hammers, so make sure to equip them to maximize her damage. Additionally, as she has an A in Faith, she can maximize certain hammers like the Envoy's Horn or Marika's Hammer.
Incantations Not Recommended
Although Undertaker has high Faith scaling, using Incantations is not recommended as she has no way of reliably recovering her FP.
Activate Her Character Skill Regularly
Trance improves Undertaker's combat capabilities, so make sure to activate it regularly to maximize your damage. Additionally, use your Ultimate Ability after activating her Character Skill to empower her combat abilities further.
Use Her Ultimate Ability Whenever It Becomes Available
Undertaker's Passive Ability Confluence allows her to use her Ultimate Ability whenever a nearby ally uses their own Ultimate Ability. As such, always keep an eye out for Confluence's activation and use her Ultimate Ability whenever it becomes available.
Confluence can also activate when foes use certain attacks, so make sure to keep your eye on your Ultimate Ability gauge to know when you can use it. Confluence is active if Undertaker has purple particle effects around her, or when her Ultimate Ability is highlighted in purple.

Undertaker Abilities
Undertaker Passive Ability - Confluence
|
Confluence - Can activate Ultimate Art for free whenever an ally uses their Ultimate Art, or when foes perform certain attacks. |
Whenever a nearby ally uses their Ultimate Art, the Undertaker can immediately use her Ultimate Art. This can trigger even if her Arts Gauge is not full, and it will not drain her gauge. Additionally, this passive ability can trigger when foes perform certain attacks.
This free Ultimate use is only available for a limited time, so players must use it as soon as possible to avoid wasting damage.
Undertaker Character Skill - Trance

Trance - Empower Undertaker's combat capabilities. Improved further when performing your Ultimate Art while Skill is active. |
Upon activating her Character Skill, the Undertaker's combat capabilities will improve. This includes increased running speed, improved poise and attack, better combo attack power, and an empowered dodge.
If you have a full Ultimate Arts gauge, you can hold the Skill activation to receive a stronger version of the buff. Alongside the regular effects, she will also receive further increased movement speed and the ability to automatically dodge every attack.
Take note that using the empowered Character Skill will use your entire Ultimate Arts gauge.
Undertaker Ultimate Art - Loathsome Hex

Loathsome Hex - Undertaker flies towards her target, dealing damage on impact. It can be used while mid-air and can target allies. |
When Undertaker uses her Ultimate Art, she will perform a short airborne animation before flying towards her target, dealing damage on impact. Her Ultimate Art can be used while mid-air, and can also target allies.
It is important to note that Loathsome Hex has a limited range, and can hit environmental objects like trees. Players must make sure that their flight path is clear and that they are not too far from their target before using Undertaker’s Ultimate Art.

Undertaker's Hammer is a strong weapon that can easily break through the Poise of enemies with a few swings, even those with shields.
Its Prayerful Strike weapon skill heals both you and nearby allies whenever it hits an enemy, allowing you to heal up even without any Flasks.
