We recommend fighting Draconic Tree Sentinel at level 8 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Defeat the Royal Cavalrymen First
We recommend defeating the Royal Cavalrymen first. Though they have less health, they tend to charge around the stage and will often harass a player which can make it troublesome to focus on the main boss.
As soon as the fight starts, pick a Royal Cavalryman to focus on while another player distracts the Draconic Tree Sentinel. Only start focusing on the Draconic Tree Sentinel when both cavalrymen are down.
Keep Your Focus on the Main Boss
Even if your role is to dispatch the cavalrymen, it's still a good idea to keep the main boss in view as the Draconic Tree Sentinel can quickly change targets and attack other players who are busy with the smaller bosses.
Watch Out for Fireballs
Even if you're at a good distance from the boss, you'll need to watch out for its fireball attack. This attack comes out really fast and great tracking, and the boss may shoot several fireballs in succession.
If you see the Sentinel's horse rear up, prepare to dodge as it's about to shoot a fireball.
Keep Your Distance when it Buffs with Lightning
The Draconic Tree Sentinel will periodically buff itself with lightning even when it's not at low health. It gains increased mobility when it does this, and most of its attacks can one-shot even tanky characters like the Guardian or Raider due to the lightning damage buff it gets on its melee attacks.
Keep your distance during this phase and only attack when its turning or when it's done doing its combos to avoid getting hit by the large AOE lightning attacks.
