What Does Totem Stela Do?
Summons a Massive Tombstone
When Totem Stela is activated, Raider summons a massive tombstone that erupts from beneath his feet, dealing damage to nearby enemies. The tombstone remains on the field for 30 seconds.
It delivers a heavy burst of Strike damage and huge stagger damage, as even the largest bosses can be interrupted on hit. It also damages the Near-Death Gauges of downed teammates, making it an excellent tool for reviving allies.
Like other Ultimate Arts, Raider is invulnerable while casting it. Once the tombstone appears, you and your teammates receive a substantial attack power buff. The tombstone can also be used as a platform for dodging enemy attacks or launching ranged attacks from above.

The only guaranteed Relic that buffs Totem Stela is the Black Claw Necklace. Defeating enemies near the tombstone restores your HP and refills a portion of your Ultimate Gauge, allowing you to use the ability more frequently. It also grants +3 Poise, helping you resist stagger from incoming attacks.
This Relic is the reward for completing the entirety of Raider's Remembrances. While these effects can still appear on random Relics, they are quite rare when trying to farm for them.

Keep in mind that the tombstone attack does Strike damage, which deals more damage to enemies like Crystalians, while it is less effective against heavily armored enemies like the Ancient Dragon and Crucible Knights.
These damage values were tested on the dummies in the Sparring Grounds of the Roundtable Hold.
Totem Stela Cooldown
Charges By Dealing Damage and Being in Combat
Unlike the Retaliate Character Skill, Totem Stela primarily recharges by dealing damage, but it also regenerates slowly over time when you are in combat with enemies that are aggroed on you and your team.
The recharge rate can be accelerated by using Relics such as the Black Claw Necklace, which slightly fills the Ultimate Gauge each time you defeat an enemy. There are also Relics and Dormant Powers that help boost the Gauge Charge of your Ultimate Art.
