For Executor, we highly recommend Nagakiba and Rivers of Blood thanks to your high Arcane scaling which can easily inflict Blood Loss after a few hits. Additionaly, as Executor is the katana class, katanas are preferred.
Varre's Bouquet is good for dealing with armored enemies such as the Crystalian to help inflict Blood Loss consistently without losing too much damage. Do note that we suggest Dual-Wielding Katanas for better Blood Loss procs against bosses.
Lastly, make sure to bring a Serpent Bow so you can revive allies with your ranged attacks and easily inflict Poison on your enemies due to your great Arcane scaling.

For Weapon Passives, we recommend aiming for passives that affect Wielding Two Armaments as you will be Dual-Wielding Katanas most of the time. Get Improved Attack Power for more damage, while Improved Stance-Breaking will help you stagger bosses easier to execute Critical Hits.
Alternatively, you do not plan on Dual-Wielding, we suggest getting Improved Chain Attack Finishers as this will benefit the Katanas greatly once you perform their full Light and Heavy attack combos.
Weapon Passives Will Still Apply Even if Not Using Them
Weapon passives apply as long as the weapon is in your inventory, even if you're not actively using it. Exceptions to this rule are weapons that have a hand icon on their passives. These weapons must be equipped for the passives to take effect.
Be sure to fill your inventory with useful passives, even from random weapons you won't use, if the effect suits the build so you don't waste an inventory slot.

We recommend this loadout of Relics as the Executor specializes on inflicting Status Ailments and executing parries to deal huge burst damage. Night of the Wise is great for your starting weapon to inflict Poison and gain more attack power, while Night of the Miasma will provide your starting weapon with Chilling Mist, a Frostbite skill that can also buff your weapon for a short time. Using this setup, the Executor can inflict Blood Loss, Poison, and Frostbite with just his starting weapon.
If you do not have the recommended Relics, you can swap the Night of the Wise and Night of the Miasma with a Grand Scene of any color that has the above passives we recommend. Arcane will increase the consistency of inflicting Status Ailments from your Katana, while any Successful Guard passives will benefit from your parries as they are still considered as guards. Make sure to take Rune Acquisition passives as well since this will help you reach higher levels for better damage and survivability.
Do note that the passives you get from the normal Relics are completely random so it is fine if you do not get all the suggested passives.

The Executor relies heavily on stamina so try to pick up Dormant Powers that affect your maximum stamina and stamina recovery so you can continue to parry consistently.
For offensive Dormant Powers, the Executor benefits from Guard Counters as you can easily execute them after parrying. Try to get Dormant Powers that affect your overall damage and Guards since your parries are also considered as guards for the Executor.
Lastly, the best defensive Dormant Powers for the Executor focuses on improving your survivability with maximum HP and more ways to restore HP. We highly recommend getting HP Recovery upon Successful Guards since the Executor will be parrying most of the time during fights.

The best consumable items to use for the Executor focuses on maintaining your stamina, increasing your physical attack, and negating damage to help you survive and overcome difficult fights. The Pickled Turtle Neck is great for helping the Executor recover stamina faster after parrying, while Exalted Flesh will maximize the damage output of your attacks.
If you get the chance to obtain Opaline Bubbletear, make sure to pop this at the right moment during fights to help you tank high damaging moves from certain Bosses. Lastly, Wending Grace allows you to automatically revive when all your party members are down so make sure to always get this whenever it drops.

Since the Executor specializes on Blood Loss procs and weaving Katana attacks, the Lord of Blood's Exultation is great for this since you will consistently gain the 20% attack power boost due to how often you can proc Blood Loss. Pair this with Millicent's Prosthesis and your damage will be significantly boosted during fights, especially after finishing your Katana combos.

Parry Attacks to Poise Break Enemies
The Executor focuses on parrying attacks to easily poise break enemies and execute Critical Hits for massive damage. Use your Suncatcher to initiate a stance that allows you to deflect attacks and perform a dash skill that deals extremely high poise damage and Holy damage as well.
Do note that your parries are considered as Guards as well and the initial sheathe animation for using Suncatcher can also deflect attacks so try to make use of this in tight situations.
Stay Cautious During Your Ultimate
Your Ultimate Art, Aspect of the Crucible: Beast, is capable of transforming you into a large beast that can fully recover your health and launch various wide-ranged attacks that can deal a good amount of poise damage.
Although your Ultimate Art is powerful, you will still be vulnerable to enemy attacks so make sure you keep track of your health and only execute long combos when you have an opening for it.
Use Bleed and Poison Weapons
The Executor is equipped with a high Arcane stat that directly increases the buildup of status ailments inflicted on enemies. Pair this with a Katana that can inflict Blood Loss, which deals damage based on their maximum health, and you can effectively deal huge amounts of damage consistently throughout the fight.

Difficult to Learn
The Executor's Suncatcher mode is a difficult skill to master as it requires you to time your deflect just before an enemy attack lands to completely nullify the damage you receive and inflict poise damage at the same time. This makes Executor a high-risk, high-reward character so make sure you get your parry timings right beforehand.

Executor Passive Ability - Tenacity
Tenacity - Receive boost after recovering from status ailments. |
Executor's Passive Ability, Tenacity, improves his stats whenever he recovers from a status ailment. Players who want to take advantage of this may want to carry around consumables like Boluses to quickly clear status ailments and receive the damage buff.
Executor Character Skill - Suncatcher
Suncatcher - Draw the Executor's Blade that can deflect enemy attacks. |
The skill name starts out as Cursed Sword and changes into Suncatcher once you complete the Executor's Remembrance.
Executor's Character Skill, Suncatcher, allows you to draw a special sword unique to the Executor. The Executor can attack with the sword as normal, but its most important feature is its ability to parry attacks in a way very similar to Sekiro. To deflect attacks, you must press the parry button right before an attack will hit you.
After parrying multiple times, the sword's true form will appear, giving the sword a yellow glow. Once the sword's true form is revealed, you can perform a powerful skill, dealing huge Holy and poise damage to enemies while propelling yourself forward.
Take note that you cannot run while the sword is drawn as you will default to your walking movement speed.

Executor's Ultimate Art, Aspects of the Crucible: Beast, has the Executor take the form of a primordial beast, making him larger and giving him access to powerful staggering attacks. Each attack drains the Ultimate Art gauge which, once empty, will turn you back to your human form. You can also undo the transformation early by casting the Ultimate Art again.
