Undertaker Remembrance Objectives and Chapters
Chapter 1 Available from the start.
Chapter 2 Defeat at least one Nightlord to collect Memory Fragments and unlock the next chapter.

Chapter 3: Defeat the Nightfarers

# How to Defeat the Nightfarers

Talk to the Iron Menial
In Chapter 3, speak to the Iron Menial on the east side of the Roundtable Hold, who will tell you that you have overindulged in the Night before attacking you. Defeat him to continue the Remembrance.

Face the Nightfarers
Make your way toward the Chapel (where you unlocked Scholar and Undertaker). Along the way, you will face off against other Nightfarers. Defeat them all to proceed.
2a You will fight the Nightfarers in the following order:
  1. Executor near the Journal area. He can parry attacks.
  2. Guardian and Recluse in the Roundtable room. Focus on the Guardian first.
  3. Wylder near the Visual Codex.
  4. Raider and Ironeye in the Chapel. Ironeye will be invisible at the start of the fight. Use your Ultimate Arts on Raider.

Apologize to the Iron Menial
Once you defeat Raider and Ironeye in the Chapel, you will be approached by the Iron Menial. Apologize to him, and continue the conversation until he leaves.

Absorb the Night
Once the Iron Menial leaves, approach the wall with a glowing purple light. Crush it and absorb the power of the Night.

Talk to the Scholar
Look for the Scholar near the Garden and talk to him. He will give you the Leather Monocle Case and ask you to tell the Nightfarers that he died and did not revive. Conclude the Remembrance in the nearby glowing circle to complete Chapter 3.
You will receive Undertaker's Leather Monocle Case relic, which boosts your Physical attacks whenever you have an Incantation buff on yourself.

Chapter 5: Locate the Scholar

# How to Locate the Scholar

Talk to the Duchess - Undertaker Remembrance
In Chapter 5, speak to the Duchess at the center of the Roundtable Hold, who will ask you about the Scholar.

Offer Prayer
Make your way to the Chapel and offer a prayer. The prompt should appear near the front row.

Talk to the Iron Menial
Talk to the Iron Menial, who tells you that the Scholar is in Limveld. With the Remembrance active, you must then start a Balancers expedition. This can be done in solo mode to make it easier to complete the objective.

Make Your Way To Chapel
Make your way to the location marked on your map. Located here is a chapel. Take note that there are enemies guarding this location, but it is not required to fight them to complete your objective.

Climb Two Flights of Stairs
Climb the two flights of stairs in the chapel until you reach the third floor. You should be beside a hanging rock upon climbing the second flight of stairs. Avoid the enemies in the area.

Go to the other side of the rock via the connecting area. You should be standing beside an open section of the railing that allows you to jump onto the rock.

Jump onto the rock and carefully make your way to the support beams on the ceiling. Take note that some enemies may be shooting at you while you try to climb the rock.

Go inside hole and through doorway
Go through the hole in the wall and make your way to the doorway beside the chest. Enter the doorway to find the Scholar trapped in a crystal.

Take the Primal Core
Interact with the trapped Scholar to take his Primal Core. You can talk to him a few more times to exhaust all dialogue options. Once you get the Primal Core, you will get the notification that you have completed your objective. End your run by either completing the expedition or dying in the final circle of Night 1.

Return to Roundtable Hold and Talk to Scholar
Once you return to the Roundtable Hold, make your way to the Chapel and talk to the Scholar. He will give you the Night-Hued Glass and the Bundled Paper, after which the Remembrance will be completed. Interact with the nearby glowing circle to complete the chapter.
You will receive Undertaker's Chalice upon completing the Remembrance.

Chapter 7: Defeat Heolstor the Nightlord

You Must Be At Chapter 6
It is important to note that this Remembrance quest is hidden. Unlike other Remembrance quests, you will not have the option to begin it. To ensure that you can access this quest, make sure that you have unlocked up to Chapter 6 of Undertaker's Remembrances.

Defeat Heolstor the Nightlord as Undertake
To progress in the Remembrance Quest, you must defeat the Night Aspect (Heolstor the Nightlord) as Undertaker. Defeating the Nightlord using any other Nightfarer will not progress the Remembrance quest.

Find the Dismembered Finger in your Inventory
Upon returning to the Roundatable Hold, open your inventory to make sure that you have the Dismembered Finger. If the item is missing, make sure that you are at the correct Remembrance Chapter for Undertaker.

Drop the Dismembered Finger on the Ground
Enter the hold and drop the Dismembered Finger on the ground. If Undertaker speaks and says "This will do... I'm sure", you have done this step correctly.
This is an important step in the Remembrance Quest. Failure to drop the Dismembered Finger before moving on to the next step will require you to beat Heolstor again.
4 Offer the Nightlord
Once you have dropped the Dismembered Finger, head to the corpse sitting near the exit. Offer the Nightlord's Rune as usual and wait for the cutscene and credits to finish (you can skip them if you want). You will then return to the Roundtable Hold, where you will automatically receive the Undertaker Remembrance Outfit, and the Glass Necklace, as well as Chapter 7 of Undertaker's Remembrance.

How to Unlock Undertaker's Remembrances

Unlocked via Undertaker's Journal Entries

Unlock Condition
Chapter 1 Available at the beginning.
Chapter 2 Unlocked after defeating one Nightlord.
Chapter 3 Unlocked with Chapter 2.
Chapter 4 Unlocked after completing Chapter 3.
Chapter 5 Unlocked after defeating another Nightlord.
Chapter 6 Unlocked after completing Chapter 5.
Chapter 7 Defeat Heolstor and drop the Dismembered Finger on the ground before offering the Nightlord's Rune.

The Undertaker's Remembrances are unlocked by progressing through the journal entries. Chapters are unlocked by completing personal objectives and running expeditions.

Note: Not all journal chapters have a remembrance quest. Some only offer lore or backstory.
