We recommend fighting Valiant Gargoyle at level 6 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Dodge Its Attacks When Targeted
The Valiant Gargoyle can deal high damage, but its attack combos are slow and have a noticeable wind-up that makes it easy to dodge.
When the boss targets you, it's a good idea to keep dodging its attacks so that you other teammates can focus on dealing damage to it.
Avoid Chasing Down the Gargoyle
The Valiant Gargoyle often jumps towards its target if they are far enough that it can't hit with its regular attacks.
If the gargoyle is too far away, wait for it to jump towards its target instead to avoid having to run towards the boss and consume precious stamina that you'll otherwise use for your combos.
Twinblade Attacks Can Hit Behind the Boss
Once at low enough health, the Valiant Gargoyle will switch to its Gargoyle Twinblade which increases its range drastically.
You'll need to watch out for its wide slash attacks as the twinblades can hit behind the boss. You can still dodge these attacks, but will have to be more mindful when attacking it from behind.
Block All of its Attacks with a Shield
Although the Valiant Gargoyle's attacks seem intimidating, it only uses physical attacks which means you can completely block all of its attacks as long as you have enough stamina and have a strong enough shield.
The Guardian can easily block all of the Gargoyle's attacks, even with its starting Guardian's Greatshield, which means its the best class to distract and draw the Valiant Gargoyle's aggro during the fight.
