We recommend fighting Outland Commander at Level 10 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Focus Down The Knight Spirits
The Outland Commander spawns a couple of knight spirits that aid him in combat. If these knights prove to be too much of a nuisance, they should be focused down to prevent doing more damage to your team.
Retaliate After The Lightning Slam
One of the Commander's attacks has him charge up his right foot for a Lightning slam onto the ground. This is highly telegraphed and can be dodged fairly consistently.
Once the Commander completes this attack, his foot will be stuck in the ground for a while, allowing you to retaliate and get free damage in.
Dodge Sideways
When the Commander prepares a gust of wind and charges at you, dodge sideways as this has the highest chances of making him miss this otherwise devastating attack.
Bring Ranged Characters
Despite the Commander having two attacks that thrust him into the air and at a player, he is otherwise immobile and cannot gap-close as effectively, making Ranged Nightfarers like Ironeye and Recluse a solid choice against him.
