Churches for Additional Flash Charges
Churches are a great starting location as interacting with the altar located inside will increase your Flask charge by 1. Additionally, these locations do not have any enemies, so you can safely get the Flash charge.
There are, however, two downsides to this. The first is that there are no enemies here, so you will need to head to another location to get Runes and weapon drops. Another is that the location of Churches are randomized, so you will need to check your map at the start of every run to locate the Churches.
Great Churches for Early Loot
Great Churches are another great location to drop in as they contain numerous chests, all of which can contain weapons and consumables. Additionally, Great Churches have various enemies that you can defeat for Runes, easily giving enough to reach at least level 3.
Lastly, you will find a Location Boss in the Great Church, either in the catacombs underneath or on the surface level. Thse bosses are relatively easy to defeat when all three players are present. Defeating it will drop some uncommon weapons, as well as spawn a Site of Grace for you to spend Runes on to level up.
Similar to Churches, however, the locations of Great Churches are also randomized. Make sure to locate one as you are flying in to know where to land.
Clear Small Camps to Level Up Early
At the beginning of your run, make sure to clear small camps with a few enemies on the way to your route to help you get to Level 2 immediately. Do note that this is only useful in the early stages as you will need to focus more on Bosses once you get more levels since they give better Runes and rewards you with Dormant Powers.
