List of Contents

To unlock the Balancers, you must first unlock the Scholar and Undertaker by heading to the chapel that opens behind the Small Jar Merchant. After that, you must then defeat defeat two Nightlords, which includes Tricephalos and one other boss.
Once you meet the conditions, return to the chapel to receive your second ray of light. From there, you’ll be able to take on The Great Hollows Shifting Earth event, as well as the Balancers’ boss expedition.
How to Unlock Forsaken Hollows DLC
The Balancers are weak to Sleep damage. Overwhelming them with Sleep attacks will put them to sleep, leaving them open to inflict critical damage and land additional hits.
Make sure to look for Sleep-powered weapons, and stock up on Sleep Pot to help you in your fight against the boss.

We recommend fighting Balancers at Level 14 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.

The Balancers deal purely physical damage, thankfully, so there are no debuffs to worry about. With this, it's important to build your Physical Damage Negation going into the boss fight.
Look for the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman and have a melee character, preferably a Guardian or Raider, equip it. Also try to get a Dormant Power that grants Improved Physical Damage Negation, and stock up on Boiled Crab.
All of the Balancers' attacks can be safely blocked, even with the Guardian using his base shield if you make use of his Steel Guard passive ability. Melee fighters are recommended to stay close to the Balancers, while ranged users should shoot from afar.
Attack Affinities and Element Guide

The Balancers are seven valkyries in white armor, which is a lot to deal with at once. If you're in a squad, split up to spread them out and avoid getting mobbed.
In the first phase, you’ll fight all seven in their normal forms. They mainly use melee and AoE attacks, and their moves are easily telegraphed. Pay attention for the glint on their spears or when they wind up their weapons to know when an attack is coming.

Use the Scholar's Ultimate skill, Communion, to link all bosses so they share damage. You can then have the rest of the squad spam their AoE attacks, such as Ashes of War, or wide-reaching attacks like Hoarfrost Stomp, to maximize damage across all the Balancers.
The Scholar's character skill, Analyze, can also apply debuffs to enemies and grant buffs to allies. Just be careful, as analyzing leaves you vulnerable to attacks!

After you defeat the seven Balancers in the first phase, they all revive with one of them having pink wings this time. This Pink Balancer hits harder, has additional moves, and can even target a Nightfarer to draw aggro.
The other six Balancers keep their original movesets, except when they perform a synchronized AoE attack with the Pink Balancer. This is telegraphed when the special Balancer flies into the air and the rest disappear.
Focus on taking down the Pink Balancer first and have one of your tanky melee fighters lure it away from the others to avoid funneling all of their attacks onto your squad.
