Defeat Tricephalos
After purchasing the DLC, players must beat Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night), the game's first boss to unlock the characters. This can be done using any of the available characters. You don't have to beat it again if you already defeated it before.
Tricephalos is vulnerable to Holy Weapons.
Talk to the Iron Menial
After defeating Tricephalos and returning to the Roundtable Hold, you must then talk to the Iron Menial, who relays a message from the small jar merchant of the Small Jar Bazaar asking to talk. If he doesn't appear here, you can try going ahead to the Small Jar Bazaar.
Head to the Small Jar Bazaar
Head over to the Small Jar Bazaar and talk to the small jar merchant. You will get a message saying "Indicates the door, perhaps concerned." You then need to interact with the door near him. This will trigger a boss fight with the Dreglord, with the Undertaker and Scholar already fighting it.
You do not need to defeat him to unlock the DLC characters. Getting defeated will trigger a cutscene.
Talk to the Characters
After the cutscene plays, the Scholar and the Undertaker will be inside the now open room. Talk to both the Scholar and Undertaker to unlock them.
