What are Great Hammers?
Preference of Raider
Great Hammers are one of the preferred weapons of Raider, making it an ideal weapon when playing as Raider. Use Great Hammers when using Raider as a frontline tank, utilizing their armor breaking capabilities to significantly weaken key targets or groups of enemies.
Raider Character Guide and Abilities
Weapons Favored by Nightfarers with High Strength Scaling
Great Hammers have amazing Strength scaling with a bit of Dexterity as well for bonus damage, making them best suited for Nightfarers who prioritize the Strength stat.
In Nightreign, weapons don't have stat requirements. Unlike in the original game, all Nightfarers will be able to use all weapons found during a match.
Best for Close-Range to Stagger Enemy Groups or Bosses
Great Hammers swing at a very slow speed, but excel in dealing high damage, staggering groups of enemies, and destroying their armor. Their massive swings deal significant damage against armored foes and shields. You'll need to stay up close and have perfect timing and positioning, as the Great Hammer attacks are very slow and can leave you open to enemy attacks if timed poorly.
How to Get Great Hammers
Great Hammers are Found Randomly
Great Hammers are part of Nightreign's randomized loot pool (which varies per match). During a run, they can be dropped by enemies, found as loot in chests within POIs, or claimed as rewards from defeated bosses.
