We recommend fighting Nameless King at Level 11 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.

We're not talking about a mid-fight phase change. During the first party, the Nameless King rides a dragon, attacking from the air with sweeping and ranged strikes.
Once you deplete the boss' HP, the Nameless King jumps off the dragon with a fully restored HP, beginning the second part of the fight. From then on, he will battle you alone. With this in mind, be ready for a lengthy fight against the Nameless King.

Nameless King is one of the less challenging Night Bosses you can fight in the game, especially for ranged users. Ironeye and Recluse players can simply stay out of range from the boss's attacks and shoot him from afar. Use Ultimate Arts to stagger the boss and deal critical damage.

As mentioned, the Nameless King will be riding atop the dragon during the first part. He uses both ranged and melee attacks, but they’re slow and heavily telegraphed. Stay close and target the dragon’s legs for damage. You can also have at least one party member distract from the front while the rest attack from behind.

In the second part of the fight, the Nameless King can power up with Wind spells, giving him the ability to fly and dash quickly. Luckily, the boss' attacks remain slow and easy to read. He slowly moves his sword before slashing or emits electricity before striking. Time your dodges carefully and counterattack when he’s vulnerable.
Nameless King is one of the possible Night Bosses that appear at the end of the second night of an Expedition. Nameless King is also one of the six bosses from the Dark Souls series that appear in the game.
