Boss Fight Level for Blinding Elder Lion

Boss Fight Level Level 8

Once the boss fight starts during Raider's Remembrance Quest, you will automatically start the fight at Level 8 and are locked on this level until the fight ends.

Use Retaliate Whenever Available

Retaliate is an excellent tool to use in this fight whenever it is available. It deals significant damage and will effectively interrupt all of the Blinding Elder Lion's moves.

If the boss is struck by Retaliate, it will be staggered just long enough for you to land an additional hit. This Character Skill has a 12-second cooldown, so keep a close eye for whenever it is ready to use again.

Dodge Its Lunging Attacks

The Blinding Elder Lion boasts a high attack range, capable of lunging at you even from a distance. Stay alert for its charged lunging attack when you're a few meters away. Time your dodge well and you can create an opening for at least one counter-hit.

Stun It With Your Greataxe After Dodging

Occasionally, the boss will unleash multi-hit combos. After successfully dodging all strikes, a large window opens for you to punish and stun it with your Raider's Greataxe. The boss's low Poise means hits from the Colossal Weapon can effectively stun it and interrupt its next attack animations.

How to Unlock Blinding Elder Lion

Fought During Chapter 4 of Raider's Remembrance Quest

Blinding Elder Lion Start

After unlocking enough Memory Fragments by going on expeditions as Raider, you can start Raider's second Remembrance quest by going to Chapter 4 of his Journal at the Roundtable Hold.

His Remembrance quests involve you fighting in a series of Arena Battles, with the Blinding Elder Lion being your second opponent.
