What are Great Spears?

Weapons With Long Reach

Great Spears have long reach for a melee weapon, making them best suited for Nightfarers who prioritize defense.

In Nightreign, weapons don't have stat requirements. Unlike in the original game, all Nightfarers will be able to use all weapons found during a match.

Best for Safe Medium Range Attacks

Great Spears mostly perform long range melee attacks and can also be used for attacking behind a raised shield, allowing players to both attack and defend simultaneously.

They combine the long reach of a Spear with the stagger potential of other heavy weapons like Greataxes. However, their attacks are slower compared to regular Spears.

How to Get Great Spears

Great Spears are Found Randomly

Great Spears are part of Nightreign's randomized loot pool (which varies per match). During a run, they can be dropped by enemies, found as loot in chests within POIs, or claimed as rewards from defeated bosses.
