How to Get Greatbows

Looted from Bow Racks in Encampments

Bow Weapon Rack

Greatbows can be looted from bow racks scattered around Main Encampment POIs. These same racks can also have a chance to spawn in the small, unmarked enemy encampments that you drop at when first starting an expedition.

Press Y (Xbox), Triangle (PS5), or V (PC) to Find Bow Racks on the Map

To easily find POIs with Bow Racks, open your map and press Y (Xbox), Triangle (PS5), or V (PC) to switch over to the detailed map view. In this mode, your map will show you which POIs will net you greatbows, staves, sacred seals, flasks, and map clues.

Can be Looted from Ruined Towers

Ruined Towers with Bow Racks

The unmarked, ruined towers that dot the landscape of Limveld will usually have one bow rack that you can loot for a potential greatbow, crossbow, bow, or ballista.

If you're playing as Raider, Wylder, or Guardian, these are great mini detours you can take if you want a to get a ranged weapon as a secondary (since greatbows get B-scaling with Strength).

What are Greatbows?

Ranged Weapons that Balance Mobility and Rate of Fire

Greatbows have higher Attack Power than Bows with a slower rate of fire, making them best suited for Nightfarers who prefer a balanced approach with ranged attacks.

In Nightreign, weapons don't have stat requirements. Unlike in the original game, all Nightfarers will be able to use all weapons found during a match.

Best for a Balanced Approach

Greatbows have a slower rate of fire compared to Bows and Crossbows, though they have a higher damage output. To maximize Greatbows, you'll need to gain enough distance to land an attack safely before repositioning yourself to remain safe while applying damage to your enemies.
