We recommend fighting Centipede Demon at Level 7 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.

Centipede Demon is a large, insect-like creature that uses sweeping attacks and long-range strikes. Its attacks are slow and heavily telegraphed, making it easy for melee fighters to dodge and counter. Still, we recommend staying on its rear side to avoid its fire breath attacks.
Ranged users like Ironeye and Recluse may find Centipede Demon to be less challenging. They can simply stay out of range from the boss' attacks and shoot from afar, while a melee user deals damage head on.

At the start of the fight, immediately target the Centipede Demon's tail and limbs to cut them off. This will reduce the range of the boss' sweep attack, but in turn, the severed parts will become a separate enemy with its own HP.
Luckily, the severed parts of the Centipede Demon moves slowly and are easy to take down as mid-level mobs. Have someone to deal with them to keep the boss fight under control.
Centipede Demon can perform two types of jump attacks: one where it does a ground slam with its feet, and another where it shoots fire beneath itself before ending with a ground slam. To avoid this, dodge or back away once you see the boss' head tilt upward, signaling that it is about to jump.
Centipede Demon is one of the possible Night Bosses that appear at the end of the first night of an Expedition. It is also one of the six bosses from the Dark Souls series that appear in the game.
