Recommended Level for Ancient Dragon

We recommend fighting Ancient Dragon at Level 11 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Avoid Its Aerial Fire Breath
The Ancient Dragon's fire breath can spread to a wide portion of the arena when it starts breathing it out. Watch the skies and space yourself accordingly if it flies up and begins engulfing the arena in flames.
Back Away From Spear Slam
One of the Dragon's attacks is a Lightning Spear Slam that does heavy damage on impact. Once you see it summon the spear, back away as far as you can.
Alternatively, you can try to circle around to its back to reduce the amount of space you need to put between you and it. Prepare to dodge any of its Spear Slams if you are close to it.
Dodge Spear Slam Aftershocks
The Ancient Dragon's Lightning Spears also have mini-shocks that come after the initial impact. As with the spear itself, prepare to dodge these if you are too close.
Watch For Wing Attacks If It Stands Up
Once the Dragon stands on its hind legs, it may opt to perform a wide-range wing attack. Dodge closer towards the dragon to avoid this.
Beware Of A Charge Slam If It Flies
When the Dragon gets up in the air and does not channel its Fire Breath, it will likely swoop down with a charge slam.
Anticipate this attack and prepare to dodge. It will usually flap its wings twice before coming down.
Watch Your Feet When It Roars
When the Ancient Dragon lets out a roar, a lightning strike will be channeled at your current location, as well as several other random spots.
Pay attention when this happens and move out of the way of the lightning strikes, as these can be incredibly deadly.
