We recommend fighting Death Rite Bird at Level 8 for a standard difficulty experience. If you wish for a greater challenge, you may fight this boss at lower levels.
Bring Holy Weapons to Deal Massive Damage
The Death Rite Bird is weak to Holy and takes increased damage from it, especially if you have weapons that can use sacred
weapon skills. If you're expecting to face the Death Rite Bird or Those Who Live in Death bosses on one of your expeditions, be sure to bring along these weapons if you can find one.
You can deal up to 700+ damage per swing with a melee weapon imbued with Holy either via Sacred Order or Sacred Blade.
Stick Close to the Hind Legs
The best place to attack the Death Rite Bird from is right next to its hind legs, the boss doesn't really have a can be deadly to this spot and will usually jump away to create distance. Stick to the hind legs as much as you can to be safe from its ghostflame attacks while attacking the boss.
Watch Your Feet for the AoE Attack
The most deadly attack from the Death Rite Bird would be the AoE attack it sends out covering a wide area. Watch your feet to avoid spots where the attack lands and dodge accordingly.

Fought as a Night Boss on Day 2
Death Rite Bird is one of the possible Night Bosses that appear at the end of the second night of an Expedition, particularly in the Equilibrious Beast expedition.
