Inside a Locked Room in Mindscrew

You can get a free SSP-99 Ecologist inside a locked door in Mindscrew. You need to find the Old Key within the location to unlock the door.

Start from the area where you can find the dead Flesh mutants on the ground and in cages. Be careful when entering this area as an electro Poltergeist will attack. Enter the furthest open door on the left beside the stack of boxes.

Use the Old Key on the white door near the brown table with a computer to unlock it.

Enter the code 1268 at the entrance of the Mindscrew to open the door.

Follow the linear path until you reach the underground system. Move to the right side of the tunnel using the cargos on the tracks.

Enter the open room that leads to a bunch of metal shelves and computers. Kill the zombie soldiers in the area.

Find the hole in the hall on the left side.

Peek through the hole and shoot the red gas canister inside. This unlocks the locked door, allowing you to open it from the other side.

Press the red button on the control panel on the small room left of the hole in the wall. This unlocks the door that leads to the next area.

Go to the next room and find the grey door with a small window in between the grey metal shelves.

Pick up the Old Key on the brown table. If the key does not appear, make a quick save and reload it to spawn it.

Obtain at the Laboratory Basement

An SSP-99 Ecologist can be found in the Laboartory Basement, within a room with a toxic anomaly after meeting the stranger as part of the mission Answers Come at a Price.

You will need to be at the Laboratory within the Garbage region northeast of the Northern Checkpoint. You will come across this location as part of the mission Answers Come at a Price.
ⓘ Accessing the Northern Checkpoint will require a key obtained during Behind Seven Seals.

After the cutscene involving you and a stranger locking out and causing the deaths of chasing soldiers, you will come across a room with a toxic anomaly in a corridor. The SSP-99 Ecologist can be foud in that room.

You can get one during the main quest in Garbage, in the very first lab. It's hidden behind toxic anomaly after the cutscene where wardens get blasted by the device. The room is in the corridor on the right.
