Livestock's Bane Walkthrough and Rewards

Livestock's Bane is a Side Quest (Odd Job) that can be unlocked during Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth). Read on to learn more about how to unlock Livestock's Bane, how to defeat the White Terror, as well as the available rewards for completing the side quest.

How to Unlock Livestock's Bane

Complete Break in the Saddle

The Livestock's Bane side quest can be unlocked after completing the Break in the Saddle main scenario. You can either accept the job in noticeboards or go straight to the location of the client in the map.

How to Complete Livestock's Bane

1. Speak with the farmer to hear the details.
2. Head to where Oliver's livestock were attacked and look for clues.
3. Use Piko to search for the perpetrator.
4. Follow the trail.
5. Defeat White Terror.

Speak With the Farmer

Go to Oliver's Farm east of Kalm and speak to the farmer, Oliver. He will tell you that his livestock was attacked and will need your help in tracking the perpetrator down.

Head to Where Oliver’s Livestock Were Attacked

Start tracking down the perpetrator by going at the edge of the cattle ranch by the overturned wheelbarrow. Press the triangle button to inspect it.

Use Piko to Search for the Perpetrator

To track the perpetrator's scent, call Piko by pressing the R1 button and use its scent to expose a trail.

Follow the Trail

Once Piko catches wind of the scent, a trail will appear. Following this trail will lead you to a lair by the seashore, where White Terror resides.

Defeat White Terror

Take down White Terror! Depending on your level, it's going to take a while before you defeat him, so give it all you got!

White Terror gets Pressured whenever it takes damage or you block its attacks. Always be on the offense and do not let it build up energy. For detailed tips on how to beat the White Terror, follow our guide linked below!

After defeating White Terror, return to Oliver to complete the quest.

Increase Favorability With Red XIII

Completing Livestock's Bane will also increase your friendship with Red XIII. This will affect the events that will occur when you visit the Gold Saucer later in the game.
