In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth), you can miss items, events, and minigames, but you can revisit them later using Chapter Selection. Explore all the missables, from items, events, to side quests, and learn how to return to previous chapters to obtain them in this guide.
List of Contents
Chapters with places that you will no longer be able to visit again will all have items, armors, weapons, materia, and even accessories that can become missable.
For example, the main scenario of Chapter 5 takes place inside a ferry. While the ferry will still be available in the overworld after this chapter, you will no longer be able to visit its interior, making all of its chests and drops missable.
One way to obtain all the items you missed from previous chapters is by using the Chapter Selection feature. This feature enables you to revisit previous chapters while retaining all your progress, including your level, items, and skills.
To unlock this feature, you must complete all the main story chapters, which will also unlock Hard Mode afterward.
There's also a chance that you can miss some special interactions in certain chapters. For example, if you choose to exit the area after the boss battle in Chapter 6, you can easily miss some of the post-battle interactions available.
These interactions can help deepen your relationship with these characters, so try not to miss them, especially if you're aiming to romance them.
Romance and Relationship Guide
Each region will feature a certain number of side quests that you can do before moving onto the next chapter. Be sure to check the community board for any available jobs and side quests to undertake before moving on.
If you have any unfinished or unaccepted quests after progressing the story, you won't be able to get back to them until the option to return to their region becomes available, like the Chocobo Carriage.
List of All Side Quests and Rewards
Intimate moments with your party members, especially the one you chose to romance, are also missable. Be sure to check in with your teammates regularly and seize every opportunity to hang out with them.
Moments like the Gondola Ride at the Skywheel Square with your chosen romantic partner is an example of this missable event.
As mentioned above, chapters with exclusive locations can contain missable items. If this is your first time playing, make sure to explore all sections to avoid missing any rare items along the way. Simply by exploring everything, you can get rare weapons, materia, accessories, and armor.
This also applies to chapters where you control other characters, such as in Chapter 7, where you play as Yuffie. Since this scenario takes place on the other side of the map with areas only accessible to her using her grappling hook, you won't be able to access it with Cloud later on.
Walkthrough and List of Chapters
There are also mini-games tied to each chapter that become unavailable once the chapter concludes. For example, in Chapter 4, you can miss two trophies if you choose not to find all your patrols and if you score below 100,000 during the Junon Inauguration Parade minigame. If you want to retry this minigame, you can either reload a save file, if you have one available, or repeat the whole chapter via Chapter Selection.
Make sure to retry these games if you're aiming to achieve high scores and if you're trying to unlock trophies as well.
List of All Available Minigames and Locations
You can return to a region you have previously visited after you've unlocked the mode of transportation that enables you to do so. A good example of this is the Chocobo Carriage which can take you from Junon to the Grasslands and back.
Interactive Map and All Regions
You can change the game's difficulty at any time by going to the System options in the main menu. You can find it under Gameplay Settings. Upon completing the game, Hard Mode will be unlocked and available for you to select.
If you feel like rebuilding your characters or if you accidentally spent SP on the wrong node, you can reset your Character Folio points and start over. This will not cost any gil or resources and can be done at any given time.
As you visit each region, the Summon it is home to will be unlocked and available to challenge anytime, anywhere. Simply speak to Chadley to enter a Combat Simulation against a Summon. Defeating it will unlock its Summon Materia.
Divine Intel is part of a region's World Intel and contains data about that region's Summon. Acquiring it will enable you to decrease the difficulty of that Summon's challenge, allowing you to acquire it much easier.
