Mogstools are giant mushrooms that Moogles reside in. They are part of your collectible World Intel and will be marked on the map as Moogle Intel. Simply interact with the mogstool's door and complete the Moogle Mischief minigame to be rewarded Moogle Medals!
It's good to remember that you can play Moogle Mischief repeatedly and get rewarded with Moogle Medals each time you complete it. This makes it a good way to farm for Moogle Medals.
Since each region has only one Moogle Intel, they will have their iteration of Moogle Mischief, each with different mechanics. Completing these minigames will unlock Moogle Mischief Levels which can be played and accessed at any Mogstool.
Do keep in mind that regardless of what level you play, you will always be rewarded 1 Moogle Medal. Therefore, it is recommended that you play the easiest one repeatedly for faster farming.

When activating Renmawave Towers, make sure to explore the entire tower. Some towers may have the activation node at ground level but insist on climbing the tower. You are bound to find Shinra Boxes that are guaranteed to contain Moogle Medals!

Random Shinra boxes and chests found when exploring may contain Moogle Medals, albeit rarely. Should you come across any of these destructibles, do not hesitate to swing at them to see what they may contain.

This minigame can be accessed in Chapter 10 of the main story. Part of the rewards when reaching a target score are a couple of Moogle Medals, alongside items and equipment for your party.

Moogle Medals function as tradable currencies that you can use to purchase different useful items from Moogle Emporiums. More often than not, they will sell SP Items for your Character Folios

World Intel, including Moogle Intel and subsequently Moogle Emporiums, are unlocked in Chapter 2 upon meeting Chadley. After guiding you on how to activate Renmawave Towers, he will mark all of the region's remaining towers on your map.
Activating these towers will reveal Moogle Intel. Do take note that there can only be one Moogle Intel per region, but playing Moogle Mischief repeatedly can also result in multiple Moogle Medals.
