Autosaves During Major Story Beats

FF7 Rebirth - Autosave

Number of Autosave Slots	1

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has an autosave feature that automatically saves your game progress during major story beats or revelations. Usually, the autosave message will appear on the upper right of the screen after a major cutscene.

Manually Save on the Menu

Number of Manual Save Slots	10

You can also choose to save your progress manually by pressing the ≡ button on your Dualsense 5 controller and then pressing the Triangle button to open the save menu.

How to Delete Save Files

Delete from Storage in the PS5 Settings

How to Delete Save File
1	On the PS5 Home screen, select the Settings menu located on the top right of the screen. The Settings option has a Gear icon.
2	Scroll down and select the Storage option.
3	Once in the Storage menu, choose Saved Data.
4	Select PS5 Games and then select FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH.
5	Press the Delete button.

In order to delete your Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth save file, you must go to the settings of your PS5 and then select Storage to locate your save file to delete it from your PS5.

Be warned that deleting your save file is permanent and that there is no way to restore a deleted save file unless you have an active PS Plus Subscription which will create a backup save file of your gameplay progress within the cloud storage that you can use to restore your data.
