Chapter Selection

After completing the game, you can go back to your favorite chapters using the Chapter Selection function. All Equipment and Character stats will be carried over to other chapters.

To go to a specific chapter, head over to the Main Menu and select System. You can find Chapter Selection in between the Extra Settings and Play Log.

Hard Mode Difficulty

Hard Mode is unlocked after completing the game. On Hard Difficulty, you can only restore HP in Rest Areas. MP can only be recovered in Chocobo Stops after using the Cushion Item.

You can collect a total of 62 Manuscripts in the Hard Mode Difficulty.

Extra Settings

Extra Settings allow you to set any character as your Companion in Chapter 8 and Chapter 12 of the main story. A character must have a 44% Relationship Level to be set as your Companion.

You can also turn on Materials Auto-Collection, which allows you to collect the materials without having to manually pick them up.

Play Log

You can check the Relationship Level for each character in the Play Log. You can also check how your character's Relationship Level has been affected through Quests or Dialogue Events.

You can also check the number of Quests you cleared and your Combat Simulator Progress in the Play Log.

New Combat Simulator Characters

Complete all the Phenomenon Intel (Protorelics), and advance the Battle Simulator to unlock extra missions with Sephiroth and Zack. These challenges can only be played on Hard difficulty, so be sure to have your builds ready before challenging them.

LOVELESS Outfits for Red XIII and Cait Sith

After clearing the main story, new LOVELESS outfits for Red XIII and Cait Sith will be added. These outfits can be purchased in the Gold Saucer Gift Shop for 1,000 Gold Saucer points each.

What to Spend GP On

Increased EXP and AP Gain

The amount of EXP and AP gained will increase after completing the main story. The AP received will be tripled just like in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, while the EXP gained will depend on the enemy.

You can equip the Exp. Up Materia on a character to add to their increased EXP gain.

New Musclehead Colosseum Challenges

New Musclehead Colosseum challenges will be available after completing the main story. These challenges are significantly harder than the previous ones so be sure to have your builds ready before challenging them.

After the main story, you can check out the Item's Shop to see new booster packs on sale for the Queen's Blood card game. These Booster Packs also contain new cards that aren't available outside the post-game.

Remove Cloud from the Party

After clearing the main story, you can remove Cloud from the party and put him in the Back Line. This allows you to compose a team without being required to have Cloud in the party.

Collect All Items For Johnny's Treasure Trove

Collecting all possible items for Johnny's Treasure Trove will require the longest amount of time to complete. Some of the items will require you to do all Combat Simulator challenges, reach top scores in some minigames, and complete a couple of excavation intel.

To unlock Johnny's Treasure Trove, you must clear the The Saga of the Seaside Inn quest.
