Best Items to Steal

Celeris from Levrikon

You can steal vials of Celeris from Levrikon, which sell for up to 500 Gil each. This is a good way to obtain more Gil, especially if you're trying to farm for money. With more Gil, you can purchase various items such as armor, weapons, and Queen's Blood booster packs and cards.

Levrikons can be easily found in the Grassland Region, particularly around the swampland section of the region.

Elixir from Roche

Elixirs are rare healing items that are only obtainable from a few sources, such as the boss fight with Roche in Chapter 4. Elixirs can fully restore both your HP and MP in one go, making them very useful during tough boss fights. Be sure to take advantage of this by stealing his Elixir during the fight to maximize your rewards.

Quetzalcoatl Talon is for the Where the Wind Blows Quest

The Quetzalcoatl Talon acquired from the Quetzalcoatl is a quest item for the Where the Wind Blows side quest in the Grasslands region. It is a component for crafting the Windmill Gear.

Players must first scan all Lifesprings in the Grasslands region to reveal Quetzalcoatl's location and engage in a battle with it. From there, you can either steal the talon or defeat Quetzalcoatl to have it drop the item.

Pristine Crown is for the Saga of the Seaside Inn Quest

The Pristine Crown acquired from the Tonberry King is a quest item needed to complete the Saga of the Seaside Inn side quest. However, the Tonberry King cannot be fought until the later parts of Chapter 8.

After scanning all Lifesprings (Expedition Intel), the Tonberry King boss battle will become available. Players must pressure and stagger the Tonberry King to make him drop his crown, making it vulnerable to stealing.

How to Steal Items

Equip Steal Materia

To steal items from enemies, you must equip the Steal Materia to unlock the command. Once equipped, target any enemies you wish to steal from to obtain their stealable items. You can also check their stealable items by using the Assess command.

Keep in mind that some enemies, particularly most bosses and all enemies from the combat simulator, will not have stealable items. It's best to use this ability on overworld enemies, especially if you're trying to gather items.

Increase Luck for a Higher Steal Success Rate

A higher Luck stat directly affects your chances of stealing items successfully apart from increasing the rate of Critical Hits. There are various ways to increase your Luck, from equipping the Luck Up Materia to equipping accessories that provide the same effect.
