How to Skip Chapter 1 (Nibelheim)

Required to Play Several Parts in the Demo

At the beginning, you will have to start a New Game, even if you have finished the demo. Then, you are required to go through several parts of the story that were in the demo, such as exploring Nibelheim. The game will only let you skip the Mako Reactor Investigation part.

Reach the Happy Trails Objective

With that said, continue progressing the story until you reach the Happy Trails objective where you climb a mountain with Sephiroth and fight an Insectoid Chimera. Defeat the enemies here to continue.

Choose to Skip to the Village

Once you reach that point, the game will ask if you want to skip the mako reactor investigation. Choose to skip to the village, and this will make you jump to the ''To Shinra Manor'' objective where you look for Sephiroth. You will have to replay the final moments of the demo to continue the story.

How to Confirm Your Demo Progress

Check Demo Saved Data by Clicking Bonuses in the Main Menu

You can check if the game recognizes your demo progress by going to the main menu. Here, you can click on Bonuses and a prompt will tell you that your demo save data has been confirmed. With that, you can go ahead and start a New Game to skip the demo chapter.
