FF7 Rebirth - Bonds of Trust Side Quest Guide

Bonds of Trust is a Side Quest that can be unlocked during Chapter 10 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth). Read on to learn more about how to unlock Bonds of Trust, how to complete it, as well as the available rewards for completing the side quest.

Reach Cosmo Canyon Region

FF7 Rebirth - Cosmo Canyon
The Bonds of Trust side quest immediately becomes available upon reaching the Cosmo Canyon Region at the start of Chapter 10: Watcher of the Vale

How to Complete Bonds of Trust

  1. Accept Quest at Kamaria's Ranch
  2. Catch a Cosmo Canyon Chocobo
  3. Complete All Three Training Courses

Accept Quest at Kamaria's Ranch

Accept Quest at Kamaria
Kamaria's Ranch will be the first real establishment you come across while exploring Cosmo Canyon. You will trigger a cutscene upon entering her ranch. Accept her quest to try out her newly built training course.

Catch a Cosmo Canyon Chocobo

Wrangle a Chocobo
Head northward, up the winding path from Kamaria's ranch. There will be a clearing with several Chocobo and a few mine cart tracks. You will need to catch Aponi, the blue Chocobo at the other end.

Use the mine carts to hide yourself from the Chocobos' gaze. You can pick up nearby stones and throw them behind the Chocobos to distract their attention for a while. If a Chocobo spots you, you have some time to dodge away into cover, avoiding a failure state.

Note: You can skip this step of the quest by wrangling the Chocobo before accepting Kamaria's quest.
How to Get the Cosmo Canyon Chocobo

Complete All Three Glide de Chocobo Training Courses

FF7 Rebirth - Glide de Chocobo Locations

You will need to play the Glide de Chocobo minigame reach the target score (Rank I) of each training course before you can move on to the next one. Attaining Rank I in all training courses is enough to finish the quest.

Increase Favorability With Yuffie

FF7 Rebirth - Increase Relationship with Characters

Completing Bonds of Trust will also increase your friendship with Yuffie. This will affect the events that will occur when you visit the Gold Saucer later in the game.
