The Part 3 sequel of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth) might release on the year 2028 if it follows a similar release trend from its predecessors. Read on to learn more about the possible release date of Part 3, as well as the story that might unfold in the next chapter of the story.
Part 3 of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake franchise might release on 2028, assuming that the sequel follows a similar trend from its predecessor where FF7 Rebirth released 4 years later after FF7 Remake.
The Part 3 sequel might release sooner compared to the time it took FF7 Rebirth to come out after FF7 Remake. This can be concluded after the remarks made by game producer Yoshinori Kitase when interviewed during the release of FF7 Remake.
If the development team follows a similar release format for Part 3, then fans can expect that the sequel might release on early 2028.
Given Sony's established tendency to release a new console every 6 or 7 years, the PS6 may come out on the year 2026 or 2027.
This may result to the Part 3 sequel releasing on the PS6 console, and it may also follow a similar trend from its predecessor where it will be a timed console exclusive.
WARNING! The section below contains heavy story spoilers that might be included in the Part 3 sequel. It is recommended that you stop reading this part of the article if you wish not to be spoiled. |
It has been hinted by FF7 Rebirth that Cloud's recounting of the Nibelheim incident was a bit foggy, given that he has forgotten the existence of Zack during the events.
In the original FF7, Tifa helps Cloud recall the original events that unfolded that led to the villainous turn of Sephiroth.
After Sephiroth has acquired the black materia in the events of FF7 Rebirth, we can expect that the decisive battle between Sephiroth and the party will be included in the Part 3 sequel.
The black materia played a central role in the evil machinations of Sephiroth during the original FF7, as the materia contains the ultimate black magic known as Meteor that allowed the wielder to summon a gigantic meteor that can destroy the planet.
