The Speed Stat is responsible in determining how fast your ATB gauge replenishes during battle, which directly contributes on how often you can access your commands.

Level Up Your Party

The simplest way to increase the speed stat of your party members is to level them up during your progression in the game.

Cast Haste During Battle

Although not a permanent solution to increase your Speed stat, casting Haste in battle allows you to momentarily hasten the replenish rates of your ATB gauges.

You will need to equip the Time Materia to a party member of your choosing, and have them cast haste to temporarily increase the speed of your select character in battle.

Using First Strike when engaging enemies in battle increases your ATB gauge. This method gives you a slight boost in your ATB gauge, enabling you to access your commands more faster.
