Tifa's most important Materias for this build are First Strike and Time to immediately cast Haste so that she can regenerate ATB Charges while waiting to counter-attack her opponent. Skill Master is also important for this build because it lets Tifa spam her abilities.

For her linked Materias, Warding-Poison and Petrify is used to prevent her from getting Petrified during Rounds 4 and 5, while Elemental-Fire and Ice is used to target the Jabberwock's Fire weakness.

How to Beat All Rounds

Round 1

Jump to Round
1 2 3 4 5
Enemies Type G Slug-Ray x3

Wait for the Type G Slug-Rays to group up close to you when they use Lacerate. Once they're bunched up, use your Limit Break to deal massive damage to all of them in a single hit. If there are any left alive, pick them off one by one with Omnistrike.

Round 2

Jump to Round
1 2 3 4 5
Enemies Dark Claw

Use Stop at the Beginning

You can cast Stop at the beginning of the fight to get a head start. During this time, you can cast Haste on yourself and poison the Dark Claw.

Dodge Reaper Claws and Counterattack

Block or evade all of the Dark Claw's regular attacks and dodge out of the way of its Reaper Claws, otherwise you'll be left at single-digit HP. Once it's left itself open after attacking, quickly counter-attack it with a Rise and Fall into Omnistrike combo. Alternatively, you can also use Starshower as long as you hit the timing correctly.

Whenever it's Pressured after dodging Reaper Claws, you can spam Focused Strike on it to increase its Stagger meter. Only do this though if you have Unbridled Strength Lv. 3 so that you maximize your damage output.

Round 3

Jump to Round
1 2 3 4 5
Enemies Kid G

Only Counterattack during Goblin Beatdown or Sledgehammer

Whenever Kid G moves close to you, prepare to block his combo. Make sure you don't counter-attack him unless he used Goblin Beatdown or Sledgehammer because he will counter-attack you, which powers up and increases the power and variety of his attacks.

Use Chi Trap When He is Pressured

Focus on playing defensive and only attack him after dodging Goblin Beatdown and Sledgehammer to put him under pressure. You can then attack him with Chi Trap to get him stuck in the air while he is pressured. Do this enough times and Kid G will eventually go down.

Round 4

Jump to Round
1 2 3 4 5
Enemies Elder Golem

Combo with Starshower and Reverse Gale

With the Elder Golem being weak to Wind, the combination of Starshower into Reverse Gale becomes a very potent attacking combination.

Play defensively and wait until you have 2 ATB Charges from Haste and basic attacks. Once it's stuck in a long animation, like when it uses Recharge or Detonation Strike, go in for the Starshower Reverse Gale combo to deal massive damage. Repeat this process until it goes down.

Be Careful of Mines and Grabs

From time to time, the golem will place down mines around the battlefield. Try to avoid that part of the floor by going around it. He can also try to grab you whenever you are close to him, so make sure to dodge to the side to avoid it.

Round 5

Jump to Round
1 2 3 4 5
Enemies Jabberwock

The Jabberwock should be a relatively straightforward fight thanks to Elemental-Fire targeting its weakness and Warding-Poison and Petrify to prevent Petrification. You can also cast Stop at the start to damage it without consequence. When it is stopped, you can use Chi Trap for constant damage.

Use Magic-based Attacks during Gorgon Shield

Just make sure that you use Reverse Gale and Unfettered Fury whenever it uses Gorgon Shield, since it negates physical damage when it's active. Alternatively, you can cast Fira to get rid of the shield.
