Flowers from the Hill Walkthrough and How to Get to Wildflower Plateau

Flowers from the Hill is a Side Quest (Odd Job) that can be unlocked during Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth). Complete Break in the Saddle

You can unlock the Flowers from the Hill side quest after completing the Break in the Saddle Main Scenario where you play the Hustle de Chocobo minigame. This is part of the main story, so don't worry about missing it!

How to Complete Flowers from the Hill

1. Speak with Chloe to hear the details
2. Head to the Wildflower Plateau
3. Defeat the Mandragoras (Mandrakes on Hard Mode)
4. Pick Flowers
5. Deliver the Flowers

Speak With Chloe to Hear the Details

To start the side quest, speak to Chloe in Bill's Ranch in the Grassland Region. She's the one you buy Chocobo Gear from, located at the middle of the ranch.

Select the "We'll take the job" dialogue to start the quest. To understand Chloe's story, you can select the "What happened to your parents?" dialogue.

Head to the Wildflower Plateau

Chloe will then send you off to a location way northwest of the Bill's Ranch. Fast travel to Kalm to get there easier.

From the fast travel point, follow the deserted road until you reach a drop point in the middle of the bridge. Once you drop down, head north until you get to the location.

Follow Stray Chocobos to Chocobo Stops

Along the way, Stray Chocobos will approach you. Following these cute little chicks will lead you to Chocobo Stops, which are not only used for fast travelling, but also used for resting by using Cushions.

Defeat the Mandragoras

The Wildflower Plateau will be inhabited by Mandragoras. Defeat these fiends before collecting the flowers! We recommend Cloud's Punisher Mode combos to easily wipe out them out.

Fight Mandrakes on Hard Mode

Mandrakes will instead fill the place of Mandragoras when you tackle this side quest on Hard Mode. They will spray projectiles and wipe out your party in seconds, but following the steps below will help you clear the field without much trouble.

1. Set Aerith as the Party Leader.
2. Equip Magnify+Fire, ATB Boost, and First Strike Materia, and the Chocoking's Cape.
3. You'll start the battle with 2 full ATB gauges. Back up a bit behind the rock to the left and use Lustrous Shield (obtained via Wizard's Rod) in the direction of the Mandrakes to protect yourself from their projectiles.
4. Use ATB Boost for a free extra ATB gauge.
5. Use Arcane Ward (obtained via Guard Stick) to doublecast all spells.
6. Cast Fira on the Mandrakes who are closest to you to avoid them from getting around your shield. Have your other party members finish them off.
7. Use Spellbound Blast to charge ATB, then repeat from step 6. When you get your Limit Break, use Healing Wind to keep the party alive.

Mandrake Weaknesses and Drops

Pick Flowers

After clearing the area from fiends, you can now pick flowers! To get the right flowers, refer to the drawing Chloe gave you at the beginning.

You should pick the Red Gerberas, Yellow Calendulas, and White Daisies to match the illustration.

Deliver the Flowers

Once you're done collecting, fast travel back to Bill's Ranch and deliver the flowers to Chloe.

Increase Favorability With Aerith

Completing Flowers from the Hill will also increase your friendship with Aerith. This will affect the events that will occur when you visit the Gold Saucer later in the game.

Telluric Scriptures Vol. VII Dropped by Mandragoras in Hard Mode

While playing in Hard Mode, defeating the Mandragoras will reward you the Telluric Scriptures Vol. VII for Aerith. You can access Hard Mode after completing your first playthrough of the game in any difficulty.
