How to Use Morning Star

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Morning Star mainly scales with Strength and has the most scaling bonus to your physical attack damage. The Starscourge Heirloom talisman can further increase the damage output by raising this stat.

The weapon can get even more bonus scaling from Strength by applying a Heavy affinity that will improve its scaling grade.

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

This weapon's physical attacks cause blood loss to build up and filling up the meter will inflict Hemorrhage to an enemy dealing damage that is relative to their HP. It has a good buildup rate with high damaging attacks that can breakthrough enemies with shields or high Poise.

It has the standard move set for hammers with moderately fast normal attacks that can be used to effectively apply a status effect. An Ash of War such as Chilling Mist are recommended as additional damage sources that can complement the weapon's passive ability.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and has the weapon skill Kick by default. When activated it performs a strong kick that is effective against an enemy's guard and can break Poise.

The kick is guaranteed to open up a blocking enemy for a critical attack and stagger high Poise enemies. Pairing this with the Dagger Talisman will enhance the damage dealt by critical strikes.
