How to Use Rapier

Scales with Dexterity and Strength

The Rapier scales highly with Dexterity followed by Strength and leveling up your Dexterity will increase the stat scaling bonus to physical attack. Changing the affinity with Whetblades can improve the default scaling of this weapon to better scale with your stats.

All Whetblades Locations

Good Early Game Weapon

This is a versatile weapon that deals decent damage with quick thrusting attacks and mobility. Since this weapon has fast attacks, adding status effects such as Hemorrhage, Poison, and Frost can be quickly applied to your enemies.

The charged strong attack can be canceled by inputting a dodge midway during the animation of the attack to perform a retreating slash. Stepping backward and then pressing the normal attack button will perform a counterattack by lunging and thrusting the weapon forward.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Impaling Thrust by default. When activated, the weapon skill unleashes a strong forward lunging thrust that can pierce through an enemy's shield.
