How to Use Onyx Lord's Greatsword

Scales with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity

The Onyx Lord's Greatsword primarily scales with Strength and Intelligence. Leveling up Strength will have the most increase the damage of your physical attacks while Intelligence will increase the amount of Magic damage that can be dealt.

The damage output can be increased with the talismans Starscourge Heirloom that raises your Strength and Stargazer Heirloom that raises your intelligence.

Magic Damage Weapon

This weapon can deal an additional Magic damage which makes it effective against enemies or bosses that have a low resistance to Magic. It has wide slashing normal attacks that are capable of hitting multiple enemies in one hit.

The strong attacks can deal high Poise damage and can break an enemy's guard in a few hits. The second attack in the chain when charged performs a two-hit attack that ends in a crushing overhead slash, you can improve the damage of your charged attacks with the Axe Talisman.

Weapon Skill is Good for Clearing Enemies

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Onyx Lord's Repulsion as its default weapon skill. When activated it plunges the weapon to the ground and sends enemies flying away.

It is a good weapon skill to use for clearing out large groups and for dealing great damage to surrounding enemies. It has a long casting time that is easily interruptible, pairing this with the Bull-Goat's Talisman can give you a slight boost to Poise and will allow you to take a few hits.
