How to Get Smithing Stone 2

The Smithing Stone 2 has a chance to drop after defeating enemies in the mines in Elden Ring Nightreign. Read on and check out the methods on how to get the Smithing Stone 2, how to use it, and additional info in this guide!

Smithing Stone 2 from Dormant Power
Mining Tunnel Map Icon Tunnel Entrance

Each Mining Tunnel POI on the map will have one strong enemy (non-boss) that you can kill in order get a guaranteed Smithing Stone 2. You can safely skip all the other enemies in the mine if you only want to get the Smithing Stone 2.

You'll know you've killed the right enemy if it drops a purple dormant power. Interact with the dormant power and choose the Smithing Stone 2 reward to get your guaranteed upgrade material.

Merchants found in Townships will sell better quality loot than regular Merchants scattered across the map. If your map seed has a Township spawn, you can head over to it in order to purchase a Smithing Stone 2 from the Merchant for 18,000 Runes.

Upgrade Uncommon Weapons to Rare

Smithing Table

The Smithing Stone 2 is used to upgrade uncommon-rarity weapons to rare (blue to purple), improving their stats and making them stronger overall. Smithing Tables are found near merchants, but they only sell Smithing Stone 1, so you'll need to find Smithing Stone 2s to apply further upgrades.
