How to Use Rogier’s Rapier

Scales with Dexterity and Strength

Rogier’s Rapier scales with Strength and mostly Dexterity, which makes it a good weapon for players with high Dexterity. Leveling up this stat will have the most increased stat scaling bonus to physical attack.

Changing the weapon's affinity by using Whetblades will improve the default scaling of the weapon to better scale with your stats.

Strong Early Game Rapier

Rogier’s rapier can be obtained fairly early in the game after defeating the first major boss, Godrick the Grafted. It will then be given to you by Rogier at +8 without needing to level it yourself, allowing you to save Smithing Stones for your other weapons. It has a unique charged strong attack that performs two thrust attacks in quick succession.

Status effects such as Hemorrhage, Poison, and Frost can be added to the weapon to increase its damage output.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and comes equipped with Glintblade Phalanx by default. The weapon skill conjures 4 floating magic swords that can be fired as projectiles on command that are capable of seeking out enemies within range. The blades will remain floating above your head as long as you do not fire them and will break if they touch walls, enemies, objects, and boss entrance fogs. They will explode and deal a small amount of damage when touched by enemies.

While the skill itself does not deal much damage, it serves as a defensive tool that can easily break an enemy's poise and open them up to critical attacks. You can improve the damage of your critical attacks with the Dagger Talisman.
