How to Use Misbegotten Shortbow

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Misbegotten Bow has D scaling in Strength and an E in Dexterity at +25 with the Standard affinity. Equipping both Starscourge Heirloom which raises Strength by +5 and Arrow's Sting Talisman which increases the damage of arrows and bolts is recommended, although the scaling is almost negligible.

Highest Damaging Lightbow

The Misbegotten Shortbow has the highest base damage of any Light Bow and is solid ranged option for melee builds. Light Bows have a shorter range than the other ranged weapons in the game but the range can be improved by equipping the Arrow's Reach Talisman which increases the range of bows.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon is infusable with Ashes of War and is equipped with the Barrage weapon skill. This skill allows the user to continuously fire a barrage of arrows at a rapid pace.

Using this skill with different types of arrows is very effective at inflicting enemies with status ailments while rapidly dealing damage. Equipping the talismans Viridian Amber Medallion and Cerulean Amber Medallion will increase your max FP and Stamina allowing you to use the skill much longer as long as you have enough arrows to spare.
