How to Use Clayman's Spear

Scales with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity

Clayman's Spear scales mainly with Strength and has the most stat scaling bonus with this attribute. Equipping the Starscourge Heirloom talisman and applying a Heavy affinity with an Iron Whetblade can further increase the amount of damage you can gain from the scaling bonus.

Leveling up your Intelligence will increase the Magic damage attacks of this weapon and the Stargazer Heirloom talisman will further increase your damage by raising your Intelligence.

Magic Damage Weapon

This weapon's physical attacks deal additional Magic damage and is very effective against enemies or bosses with low Magic resistance. If you are looking to use this weapon to mainly deal Magic damage, applying a Magic affinity with the Glintstone Whetblade can greatly increase its damage at the expense of lowered physical attack damage.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon is infusable with Ashes of War Skills and is equipped with Charge Forth weapon skill by default. It allows the user to charge forward with the spear and carries the momentum to perform a powerful thrust attack. Holding the skill button will allow you to travel a much greater distance.

You can damage enemies while charging forward and the thrusting attack is capable of sending enemies flying forward. It can be used to break guards if you can connect with the running charge and thrust attack.
