This skill was buffed in Ver 1.04, decreasing its FP cost, as well as increasing its cast speed and effect duration.

How to Use Golden Tempering

Activate It From a Distance

This skill buffs the armament with Holy. This process happens a bit slow which leaves you open to attacks. Not to mention that this buff only lasts for 20 seconds.

Take two backsteps before activating the skill, once activated immediately do a strong attack. This will have you dash forward to a target followed by multiple thrust attacks from your armament. Once the Holy buff is gone it will revert your strong attack to a normal swing and a thrust attack.

Unique to the Ornamental Straight Sword

You can only use the Golden Tempering and its strong attack move set with the Ornamental Straight Sword. You can obtain this by defeating the Grafted Scion in the Chapel of Anticipation, the very first place where your character wakes up.

You can access this place again through one of the portals in the The Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes. But you will need an Imbued Sword Key to open the portal leading to this location.
