How to Use Red Branch Shortbow

Scales with Dexterity and Strength

The Red Branch Shortbow has a D scaling in Dexterity and an E scaling in Strength at +25 with the Standard affinity. Adding points to Dexterity and equipping the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom which raises Dex by +5 will raise the attack power of your shots slightly. However, since the scaling is pretty low even when the weapon is maxed out it's better to equip the Arrow's Sting Talisman which raises the damage of arrows.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon is infusable with Ashes of War and is equipped with the Barrage weapon skill by default. This skill allows the user to continuously fire a barrage of arrows at a rapid pace.

Using this skill with different types of arrows is very effective at inflicting enemies with status ailments while rapidly dealing damage. Equipping the talismans Viridian Amber Medallion and Cerulean Amber Medallion will increase your max FP and Stamina allowing you to use the skill much longer as long as you have enough arrows to spare.
