Ruins Greatsword Location

Dropped by the Leonine Misbegotten and Crucible Knight Duo Boss

The Ruins Greatsword is dropped by the Leonine Misbegotten and Crucible Knight tag team in Redmane Castle. Take note that these bosses will only appear if Redmane Castle is not in the Radahn Festival state.

If you entered the castle while the Radahn Festival is being held, you must first defeat Starscourge Radahn to wrap up the festival and change the castle back to normal.

Radahn Festival Triggers

Trigger 1 Using the Grand Lift of Dectus to reach Altus Plateau and resting at any site of grace in the region.
Trigger 2 Defeating Magma Wyrm Makar at the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, using the lift in his chamber to reach Altus Plateau, and resting at one of the sites of grace there.
Trigger 3 Progressing Ranni's questline until you and Blaidd find out about how to reach Nokron from Sellen.

If any of the above actions are completed, Redmane Castle enters the Radahn Festival state, preventing you from fighting the duo boss.
