Some weapons with Arcane scaling are currently broken in Elden Ring. Read on to know why Arcane weapons are not scaling, what you can do about it, and when will Arcane scaling bug be fixed.

Arcane is not Scaling due to a Bug
Previously, weapons that scale with Arcane and have at least two damage types will not receive any scaling bonuses due to an unfixed bug.

Not All Weapons are Broken
The good news is that not all weapons that scale with arcane are bugged. Weapons with only Physical attack power can still receive scaling bonuses, but if a weapon has an extra attack power (such as fire shown above), no scaling bonuses are given.

Consider Changing Your Stats

Elden Ring - Consider Changing Your Stats
If you have already committed to arcane-focused weapons but don't want to wait until FromSoftware releases a fix, consider a stat respec. This feature can be unlocked after defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.

If you're worried about using Larval Tears, there are a handful of them available in the game. You are free to always change back to Arcane Build once the bug has been fixed.

Update V1.03

As of today, FromSoftware has released an update that fixes the incorrect scaling of Arcane with some weapons. You can find the full patch notes on their official Twitter account.
