How to Use Torchpole

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Torchpole has a C scaling in both Strength and Dexterity at +25 with the Standard affinity. Equipping the Starscourge Heirloom or Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom will further increase your damage output. Leveling up both Strength and Dexterity is ideal if you plan on using this weapon.

Fire Damage Weapon

The Torchpole deals both physical and Fire damage on top of being a light source, although we recommend using the Lantern as a light source in most cases. The Torchpole is effective against enemies with low Fire resistance, but it deals less damage than other fire type weapons.

If you are committed to this weapon and looking to increase your damage output, powerstance two Torchpoles or equip the Fire Scorpion Charm that will enhance Fire-based attacks but will lower your damage negation.

Weapon Skill can Break Guard

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Charge Forth weapon skill by default which performs a charge forward ending in a powerful thrust attack. Holding the button will allow you to travel a much greater distance. The thrust attack will send enemies flying backward, downing them which leaves them open for a wake up attack. Additionally this can break an enemy's guard if they are low on Stamina when the attack connects.
