How to Unlock Braving the Rift

This quest is unlocked right after completing the previous quest, Legend of Eld.

Braving the Rift Quest Walkthrough

	Objective
1	Talk to the Crest Merchant, whom Charsi brings you to. Select Quest to continue the questline. He will give you a Legendary Crest. You can also select Shop to purchase Crests.
2	Interact with the Elder Rift, north of the Crest Merchant.
3	Place a Legendary Crest into the slot. Now, you can enter the Elder Rift solo, or with a party. We recommend going in solo for your first time, in order to get used to the mechanics.
4	Upon entering the Elder Rift, start killing enemies as fast as possible to get the Rift Progress bar to rise.
5	The Rift Guardian will appear when the bar is full. Defeat it to complete the Elder Rift.
6	Talk to the Crest Merchant once more to end the quest. Rewards: ・6 Crests

Tips and Strategies

Prioritize Elite Monsters Gather Enemies Together Use Health Wisely

Prioritize Elite Monsters

One strategy players use is to ignore all regular enemies and only engage an enemy group if there are Elite Monsters present. They have a blue aura around them and they drop Rift Progress Orbs, which fills up the progress bar faster.

Gather Enemies Together

If your class has a Gather skill, use it to gather enemies into one spot. This will make it easier to kill all of them with a single skill.

Use Health Wisely

When Health Globes appear, don't pick them up immediately. Only grab them when your health is getting low. Save your Health Potions for emergencies, as you want to rely on Health Globe drops to conserve your potions.
