Strengths

Strengths
• Very strong solo play potential.
• Summons can tank for you.
• High single target and AoE damage output.
• Easy to use and learn.

The Necromancer is a mid-range combatant that uses multiple summons to aid them in battle. In tandem with their array of summons, Necromancers also use self-buffs and area-denial abilities to zone the battlefield in their favor.

Due to its easy-to-use skills and highly durable summons during solo play, the Necromancer is probably one of the easier spell-casting classes to use in Diablo Immortal for newer players.

Weaknesses

Weaknesses
• Lacks mobility skills like other classes.
• Vulnerable without summons.
• Gameplay heavily relies on summons.
• Weak PvP player damage.

While excelling in solo play, the Necromancer falls off when put in situations that leave it with no allies on the field. Being a class with limited mobility skills and low health, the Necromancer is vulnerable if caught in between its cooldowns.

In PvP, the Necromancer's kit is also heavily nerfed, often relying on its Bone Spells instead of its usual summoning playstyle. When playing as a PvP Necromancer, players will often find themselves in support roles rather than hybrid DPS roles like other classes.

Necromancer Stat Priority

Necromancer Stat Priorities

Necromancer Stat Priority
IntelligenceVitalityFortitude or Willpower
Intelligence This is the primary stat of the Necromancer. It gives the highest boost to Damage and Combat Rating when increased.
Vitality Raises your max Life. Due to how fragile this class is, invest in Vitality to increase your chances of survival.
Fortitude Raises Armor and Armor Penetration. Again, due to how fragile this class is, having more armor means you block more incoming damage.
Willpower Raises Potency and Resistance. When opting to raise effectiveness of spells, players can invest in this stat instead.
Strength Worst stat to increase as a Necromancer as it provides the lowest combat rating bonus. Do not waste any points on this stat while leveling this class.

The Necromancer primarily scales with Intelligence, giving players the most bonuses for both combat rating and damage with each additional point. Pair this with more Vitality to increase your max Life, allowing you to survive hairy combat encounters.

Do note that while Fortitude can be important to increase outgoing damage, its armor bonuses can be upgraded separately via the Paragon System. Players looking to only increase armor can opt to go this route instead.

Necromancer Paragon Point Priorities

As with most classes, it is best to go for more Damage and Life when spending Paragon Points. The Vanquisher tree has a lot of options for both Damage and Life, making it a good early investment if you're still unsure about which tree is best for your build.

As a secondary choice, players can go for either increased Armor or Resistance depending on how vulnerable your Necromancer currently is.

How to Play Necromancer

Summon Minions to Help During Combat

Diablo Immortal - Necromancer Command Skeletons

During combat, Necromancers will have access to multiple types of summons depending on their playstyle. Command Skeletons, Golems, and Skeletal Mages to give yourself additional allies in battle.

A Necromancer never truly plays solo. When tackling PvE content, play around with your summons and their ability to draw the aggro of enemy mobs. This allows you to follow up with your different AoE and multiple-hit attacks.

Use Resource Generating Skills to get Corpses

Diablo Immortal - Necromancer Grim Scythe

To keep the summon train going, remember to use corpse generating abilities such as Grim Scythe to get more resources in a pinch. You can also chain corpse generation with either Corpse Explosion or Corpse Lance to do AoE damage instead of summoning.

Use Area Denial Skills to Zone Out Enemies

Diablo Immortal - Necromancer Area Denial

If you find yourself getting mobbed, use zoning spells like Bone Spikes and Bone Wall to buy time and reset your attack. When all else fails, use the Necromancer's only escape ability - Wraith Form - to quickly get out of dodge.
